Tales from Falmac Farm is a collection of stories about the animals that found their forever
home on a small farm in Newton NH. Included are a miniature horse, Itty Bit, who was
outgrown by his previous owners,  Silky, the lost cat that was supposed to live in the barn,
Lilly, the best dog in the world and Charlie, an independent barn cat that didn't care much for
humans until he found a special person.  Also included are glimpses of actual events that have
happened to Karen during her day to day life on the farm.

The stories are interwoven with pencil drawings by neighbor and equine artist Barbara Frake.
Frake's work is familiar to many equestrians; her drawings and paintings are in collections
throughout the U.S. and have been shown at the International Museum of the Horse, Kentucky
Horse Park.  You can see her work at
www.FrakeFineArt.com.  The story in the book entitled
"Gunther" is about Barbara's horse.

My husband bought your book for our three year old granddaughter.  I wanted to quickly peak through it before
reading it to her but couldn't put it down.  Before I knew it I had read it from front to back!  I can't wait to snuggle
up with my granddaughter and read her these heart warming stories that are so beautifully illustrated.  Thank you for
sharing your love of nature in an entertaining way and allowing your readers to see and feel the impact they can
have on all living things.

A wonderful collection of stories!  What a fantastic book!  Tales from Falmac Farm is fun to read for all ages.  The
stories are great for young ones to listen to (and look at the beautiful illustrations) and older ones to read.  "Silky
Finds a Home" is a personal favorite, but all are enjoyable, make-you-smile stories.  I am looking forward to her
next book!

This book has great stories that appeal to all.  They are just long enough for bedtime for the young ones, but the
content will warm the hearts of anyone who has shared their life with animals.  I highly recommend this book.

An excerpt from Kiri A Christmas Kitten
She was a kitten trotting through the streets of Bethlehem, looking for her mother. The little town
where she had been born was suddenly very busy, and she had become separated from her mother
and litter-mates. She dodged hurrying feet and carts pulled by donkeys until she found herself on the
outskirts of town. A bright light in the sky caught her attention and she started toward it. The light
led her to a cave.

Kiri’s sensitive ears picked up the cries of a baby and the sounds of a soothing song. As she crept
cautiously into the cave, she saw a man and a woman bending over a manger filled with hay. The
woman was singing softly. The cave seemed to be lit from within somehow. The bright light was all
around them.

Kiri padded softly to the manger and jumped up on its edge. Looking down, she saw a newborn
baby, wrapped in blankets, crying and waving his tiny fists. Kiri hopped into the manger and
snuggled against the soft blankets. Immediately, the baby’s wails stopped and he rested his little
hand on the kitten’s soft fur. Kiri looked up into the woman’s grateful eyes and purred. The baby
and the kitten fell fast asleep.

Warmed my heart
Kiri the Christmas Kitten is a joy to read. The story is loving and shows the authors faith. By young ones reading or
having this story read to them, it show's how human Christ was and the real reason we have Christmas. At the same time
it is a fun story about the life of a beautiful pet, and how the end of life here is not the end but the beginning of a new one
with loved ones there waiting for us. The art work is just that ART, real and lovely.
